Kelly, great blog and great pics, they are so cool! Thank you for doing this, it means so much! Dave, where did Hayden get that Lego set? Oooooooold school dude.....Adam
In 1998, I graduated from UF with a social work degree specializing in children & families & immediately got a job as a counselor serving at-risk teenaged girls.I LOVED it!What a challenge!I worked there for about 7 years, commuting 1 hour each way.In 2003 I got married to the love of my life & we had our first child.Suddenly my priorities changed!I dreaded the commute because that was 2 additional hours away from my baby.My job was also so intense that, at the end of the day I had no energy left for my own pumpkin.I longed for a job with less hours and less stress. That brought me to my next adventure.I began working as my OB/GYN's office manager and assistant. It was exactly what I was looking for!I learned an incredible amount at that office, I met amazing women daily, & most importantly, at the end of the day I still had the energy to play with my baby.In 2007 we had a daughter and once again I yearned for more time with my children. Fortunately, things had evolved in such a way that it was now possible for me to stay home!Around the same time, one of my dearest friends was looking for care for her baby & voila...here I am!
